What is Temple?
A temple is not always a building— but it is always sacred space. It is a threshold, a liminal space where the mundane and the mythic, the personal and the cosmic meet. Whether carved in stone, encoded in ritual, or built from breath and intention, a temple holds the architecture of sacred experience.
In my work, “temple” describes an event, a time and place where we come together for sacred work. It is also more metaphorical, describing the container I craft for transformation—a sanctuary for shadow and light, for archetype and alchemy, for deep connection and belonging. It is where we gather to remember, to re-member: to call the soul back into the body, and the body back into its knowing.
Temple is also a living ancient technology. It is a system of resonance, rhythm, and revelation. It is encoded in movement and sound, symbol and story, and in our sensate and mystical experience. Temple is designed to connect, to recalibrate our nervous systems, awaken our archetypal memory, and restore coherence within ourselves and our world.
To enter temple is to step into a field of intentionality. A place where embodiment is not an afterthought but the altar itself. Where the body becomes oracle, the breath becomes bridge, and presence becomes prayer. It is a space of deep communion. A temple can be a grove, a circle, a poem, a pause. It is wherever we choose to meet the Mystery with reverence.
